About Kirsten M.

Kirsten M. Dunne studied at the University of Notre Dame and earned her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School in 1995. She arrived in law with the kind of steady preparation that a long legal career requires. The classroom at Notre Dame set the foundation for courtroom work that would follow.

Her legal credentials include admission to practice in Illinois and before several federal tribunals. She is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. Those admissions have allowed her to handle matters at multiple levels of the judiciary.

Over the years Dunne has taken on matters that require courtroom presence and written advocacy. Her work has involved filings and hearings in both state and federal settings. She has developed procedural familiarity that comes from steady courtroom work and from handling cases that move through appeals and trial courts.

Dunne is a member of professional legal associations and maintains active involvement in the bar community. That participation keeps her abreast of changes in procedure and case law. It also provides a connection to peers who practice in related areas of civil litigation.

She practices at GWC Injury Lawyers LLC, where she handles litigation and client representation. At the firm she has worked on cases that require coordinating medical records, expert testimony, and negotiations as well as courtroom advocacy. Her role involves drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions in hearings.

Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She prepares records carefully and frames arguments for judges and juries in straightforward terms. The emphasis is on clear presentation and attention to procedural detail, rather than flourish.

Outside of court, Dunne puts time into case development and client communication. She spends hours reviewing medical evidence, consulting experts and preparing strategy. That work supports the litigation that reaches trial or settlement table.

She now practices at GWC Injury Lawyers LLC, where she concentrates on personal injury and civil litigation.
