About Kim

Kim Welch moved from business studies into law after an early interest in how companies operate. She studied business at Upper Iowa University, then earned her law degree from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law. The combination of a business undergraduate background and legal training informs how she approaches client problems.

Her career took shape after law school when she established Kim Welch Law. She built the practice deliberately. Over time she developed a practice style that blends practical business sense with legal analysis. She manages day-to-day client matters and oversees the firm’s operations.

Colleagues describe Welch as precise and practical. She is known for explaining complex points in straightforward terms. Her approach is methodical. She prepares files carefully and lays out options clearly so clients can make informed choices.

Her legal work draws on both classroom training and hands-on experience. Welch advises clients on transactional issues, contract questions and regulatory concerns that touch businesses and individuals. She handles negotiations, document drafting and dispute resolution. She also provides counsel that takes commercial implications into account. That business perspective often shapes the solutions she recommends.

Outside of direct client work, Welch has structured her practice to serve a variety of clients. The firm maintains more than one office location. She oversees case strategy and client communication across those offices. Staff and peers say she values responsiveness and practical timelines for resolving matters.

She has kept ties to the Nevada legal community since completing her law degree. She maintains professional memberships and participates in activities that keep her current on legal developments. Welch also draws on her business education when advising entrepreneurs and small business owners, helping them see legal risk alongside commercial opportunity.

Today she leads Kim Welch Law and continues to guide clients through legal and business challenges. Her practice handles a broad range of legal and commercial matters for individual and business clients, and she works from the firm’s offices to provide ongoing counsel and representation.
