Michael Stuzynski studied English literature before turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Rutgers University in 2009 and continued his legal education at the University of Colorado Boulder, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2012. Those years in two different regions shaped a practitioner comfortable in both written advocacy and courtroom work.
After law school he entered public defense. In 2013 he joined the Colorado State Public Defender’s office as a deputy public defender. There he handled a range of criminal matters, representing clients at preliminary hearings, arraignments, and trials.
