About Kevin R.

Kevin R. Fisher moved from hospitality management into law over a decade after finishing his undergraduate degree. He earned a B.S. in Restaurant Hospitality Management from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa in 1990. He returned to school and took up legal studies at Quinnipiac University School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2001. The shift in fields proved to be deliberate. His academic record shows a steady progression from business-minded work to courtroom practice.

Early in his legal training Fisher spent time inside a federal prosecutor’s office. In 2000 he served as a clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida. That experience exposed him to federal procedure and to the practical demands of case preparation. After law school he obtained the credentials to practice law in both Georgia and Tennessee and began building a practice rooted in criminal defense.

Fisher’s work has concentrated on cases that require familiarity with roadside procedures and state criminal codes. He holds certification in Standardized Field Sobriety Evaluations from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. That credential informs how he reviews DUI evidence and questions the methods used by law enforcement. He joined the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2008 and later became a member of the National College of DUI Defense in 2013. Those memberships connect him to peers who handle complex DUI and criminal matters and keep him current on evolving practice issues.

Colleagues describe Fisher as methodical in preparation and direct in court. He has represented clients at various stages of criminal proceedings, from initial arraignment through trial. His training in both federal and state settings has given him experience with different procedural rules and evidentiary challenges. He routinely examines stops, testing procedures and the paperwork that accompanies DUI investigations.

Today Fisher practices in Tennessee and Georgia, representing individuals charged with criminal offenses, including DUI-related cases. He balances courtroom advocacy with detailed case review and cross-examination of technical evidence. He currently handles criminal and DUI matters in Tennessee and Georgia.
