About Kevin Michael
Kevin Michael Strait trained first as a scientist and then turned to law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in physics from Virginia Commonwealth University before taking up legal studies at Regent University School of Law, where he received his J.D. That combination of technical training and legal education has shaped his career path and professional interests.
Early in his working life he spent time in industry as an R&D engineer at Afton Chemical Corp. in 2003. That role placed him in a laboratory and development environment, where technical problem solving and attention to procedure were daily requirements. The engineering experience informs how he approaches technical subject matter in legal work.
Strait holds several professional certifications outside the traditional legal track. He is a Private Pilot and an Advanced Ground Instructor certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. He also carries a Locksmith & Electronic Security Consultant credential from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. These qualifications link him to practical aspects of aviation and physical security that often intersect with regulatory and liability questions.
He is admitted to practice in Colorado and Wyoming. He maintains memberships in the State Bar of Colorado and the Denver Bar Association, and he is also active in broader professional groups. Those include the Lawyer-Pilot Bar Association, the International Air & Transportation Safety Bar Association and national pilot organizations. Locally, he holds memberships with the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado Pilots Association, and he is affiliated with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Colleagues say his background lends itself to cases that involve technical evidence, regulatory compliance and safety protocols. He brings a methodical approach to fact patterns that involve machinery, aircraft, or security systems. His combination of engineering, aviation and legal training creates a practical perspective when technical issues are central to a dispute or investigation.
He is based at Anzen Legal Group, where he handles matters that draw on his intertwined experience in law, aviation and security technology. His current practice addresses aviation, transportation safety and security technology matters.
