About Kevin
Kevin Cahill trained in economics before turning to the law. He earned a B.A. in economics from Wake Forest University in 2001 and pursued legal studies at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He completed his J.D. at the University of Denver in 2005. That combination of liberal arts and legal training shaped a practical approach to courtroom work and client counseling.
He began his post-law school career in private practice and moved through several firms before opening his own office. In 2010 he joined Riggs, Abney, Neal, Turpen, Orbison & Lewis, PC as an associate lawyer. He later worked at Shazam Kianpour & Associates, P.C. in 2013 and then at the Law Offices of Rodger Daley in 2014. Later in 2014 he established the Law Office of Kevin Cahill and became its principal. Those years in firm settings exposed him to a steady stream of trial and motion practice.
Cahill’s memberships reflect steady involvement in criminal defense circles. He has been a member of the Denver Bar Association since 2008 and joined the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar in 2011. In 2015 he became a member of the National College for DUI Defense and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also appears on a list maintained by the American Institute of DUI/DWI Lawyers for client satisfaction beginning in 2015. These affiliations place him among local and national groups that focus on trial advocacy, and on issues that arise in DUI and criminal cases.
His courtroom work has emphasized contested hearings and trials. Over the years he handled matters in municipal and state courts and prepared numerous defenses where evidence and procedure play central roles. Colleagues describe him as methodical about records and timelines; clients have relied on his capacity to explain complex legal processes in straightforward terms.
Since founding his own practice in 2014, Cahill has managed a solo office and guided a caseload that includes difficult procedural and evidentiary questions. He balances court appearances with pretrial investigation and motion practice. He represents people facing criminal charges and DUI-related offenses at the state and local level.
He currently operates the Law Office of Kevin Cahill and represents clients in criminal defense and DUI matters.
