About Kevin A.
Kevin A. Chastine built his path to law on two different classrooms. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and Youth & Family Ministry from Harding University in 2001. Four years later he received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 2005. Those academic stops left him comfortable with both policy and people. They also set the stage for a career that moved quickly from a large firm environment to courtroom work.
After law school, Chastine spent time in private practice and by 2008 was listed as an associate at DLA Piper US LLP. That position placed him inside a national practice and exposed him to the procedures of complex litigation. He worked on matters that required collaboration across teams and rigorous attention to pleading and discovery—tasks that are common in large firm litigation settings.
In 2009 Chastine is recorded as a trial lawyer at Chastine Defense Firm, LLC. Two years later he worked as a trial lawyer at Arora & LaScala, LLC. Those entries reflect an early and steady turn toward trial work. The record shows courtroom roles rather than a decade spent behind a desk. He has practiced in Georgia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, indicating both trial and appellate experience in the federal and state systems that serve the southeastern region.
Colleagues and files suggest his practice centers on contested matters that require preparation for trial. He has handled pretrial motions, evidentiary hearings and courtroom presentations. That work calls for managing witnesses, evidence and procedural timing. It also involves coordinating strategy across stages of litigation, from initial pleading through post-trial filings when necessary.
Chastine’s background combines the institutional experience of a large national firm and the hands-on responsibilities of trial roles in smaller settings. His undergraduate studies in political science and ministry add a different angle to his courtroom approach. They inform the way he frames issues for juries and judges, and they shape how he engages with clients and witnesses.
Today he practices at Chastine Defense Firm, LLC, where his work continues to include trial preparation and representation in Georgia courts and appeals to the Eleventh Circuit. He maintains an active practice centered on trial and appellate defense work.
