About Kenneth C.

Kenneth C. Vogelstein began his professional path in a field far from courtrooms. He earned a B.A. in engineering from Johns Hopkins University and followed that with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. After practicing in dentistry, he returned to school and obtained a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

His education gave him two different professional lenses. The scientific training of dentistry and the analytical rigors of engineering shape how he approaches legal problems. Law school added the procedural and substantive tools needed to represent clients. Those combined perspectives guided his move into private practice.

Vogelstein rose through the ranks at Wais, Vogelstein, Forman & Offutt, LLC, where he serves as a senior partner. Colleagues describe him as deliberate and methodical in preparing cases. He has taken part in courtroom work and in counsel roles behind the scenes. The firm’s practice afforded him the chance to work on a range of civil matters that benefit from an understanding of technical and professional standards.

He maintains an active membership in the Maryland State Bar and is licensed to practice in Maryland. That local focus has kept him engaged with both clients and regulatory bodies in the state. It also sets the stage for work that often involves state laws, licensing questions, and professional conduct issues.

Vogelstein’s background in dentistry is a practical asset in certain disputes. His clinical experience gives him familiarity with how health care providers operate and the standards by which they are judged. At the same time, his legal training covers the procedural mechanics of litigation, arbitration, and negotiation.

Outside the office he has continued to follow developments in both health care and law. The dual career path — clinician turned attorney — informs how he frames legal strategy and communicates complex subjects to judges, juries, and clients. He is based at Wais, Vogelstein, Forman & Offutt, LLC and handles matters that draw on both his dental and legal training.

He currently practices law in Maryland, handling matters that draw on both his dental and legal training.
