About Kate

Kate Hauser built a foundation in two different but complementary fields before she ever set foot in a courtroom. She began undergraduate study at the University of Florida in 2008 and earned a B.A. in 2012. Her coursework emphasized science and criminology, and she also completed studies in business. That mix of subjects gave her a broad base for the legal work that followed.

Hauser continued her education at Florida State University College of Law, enrolling in 2013 and earning her J.D. in 2015. Law school sharpened the analytical skills she had developed in undergrad. Classwork and clinics exposed her to procedural rules, research responsibilities and client interaction. Those experiences shaped how she approaches problems today.

After completing law school she moved into practice. Early years in the profession required long hours and steady attention to detail. She handled case preparation, drafted motions and sat in on hearings. The practical work reinforced the investigative instincts formed during her criminology studies and required translating technical material into arguments a judge or client could understand.

Hauser maintains active participation in professional circles. She holds current memberships in relevant legal associations and keeps up with continuing education. Colleagues describe her as methodical in intake and persistent in preparation. Clients have relied on her for clear explanations and careful follow-through.

She is based at Ortiz Law Office. Her practice has evolved to reflect both her academic background and her early practice experience. She often works on matters that require attention to factual detail, an ability to parse technical reports, and an understanding of business implications. She takes a practical approach to case management and emphasizes steady communication with clients.

Outside the office she continues to keep up with developments in the areas informed by her training in science, criminology and business. That steady updating of knowledge informs how she evaluates evidence and advises clients. She currently practices at Ortiz Law Office, handling matters that draw on her background in criminology, science and business.
