About Kasey

Kasey Libby built an academic foundation that spans two countries and three degrees. She read English literature at Oxford in 1996, earned a B.A. from the University of Georgia in 1998 and completed her J.D. at Georgia State University College of Law in 2007. Those years shaped an approach that combines analytical reading with practical instruction in advocacy and dispute resolution.

Her early work brought her into the field of mediation even before she finished law school. In 2006 she served as a mediator for the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. That role introduced her to the mechanics of settlement and the value of neutral facilitation. After earning her law degree she joined Bach, Dewberry & Hipes, LLC in 2007 and moved into firm practice.

Over the next decade she shifted between firms and roles. In 2011 she was part of Adams Libby, LLC. By 2014 she was at Caldwell & Watson. In 2016 she opened The Libby Law Office and has practiced there since. The path shows a mix of private practice and alternative dispute work rather than a single straight line.

She holds admission to practice before the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the state courts of Georgia and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She also maintains a general mediation certification from the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. Professional memberships include current ties to the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association.

Colleagues describe her work in practical terms: managing cases, conducting mediations, and appearing in both state and federal proceedings. She has experience guiding matters toward settlement as well as preparing for trial when necessary. That combination reflects the earlier mediation training and subsequent courtroom practice.

Today she leads The Libby Law Office, where she balances litigation and mediation in matters brought in Georgia courts and the federal district in the northern part of the state. Her present practice handles dispute resolution, representation in court filings, and mediation services for clients operating within Georgia’s judicial system.
