About Kaitie

Kaitie Ruhl-Pirone built her legal foundation through a steady progression of academic steps. She earned an A.S. from Middle Georgia State in 2014, then a B.S. in English Literature from the University of Georgia in 2016. She completed her J.D. at Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2019 and added an LL.M. from Hofstra University in 2022. Those credentials reflect both regional roots and additional specialization earned after entry into practice.

Her early law-related work began while she was still a student. In 2017 she worked as a circulation assistant at the Mercer Law Library. That hands-on exposure gave her practical contact with legal research and library resources. She later interned and volunteered at the Georgia Legal Services Program, Macon office, and completed an externship with GLSP’s MedLaw Program in 2018. After graduating from law school she served as an SAAG associate lawyer in 2021 at the Law Office of Patricia King, gaining courtroom and client-facing experience.

Ruhl-Pirone joined the State Bar of Georgia in 2020 and maintains active membership. She also participates in the Georgia Bar Association’s Health Law Section and its Child Protection and Advocacy Section. Those affiliations align with work she has taken on outside of private practice, particularly through her time with GLSP and the MedLaw Program.

Her practice draws on that background. She has handled matters that touch on health law concerns and on legal issues affecting children. Her experience ranges from public-interest legal work to roles in a smaller firm environment. Colleagues describe her as deliberate in case preparation and attentive in client meetings. She balances courtroom exposure from the SAAG role with administrative and research skills developed earlier in her career.

Ruhl-Pirone’s academic choices suggest an interest in the intersection of law, health, and policy. The LL.M. further broadened her legal perspective after she started practicing. She keeps ties to the Georgia legal community through bar activities and the sections that reflect her practice interests.

She now practices at The Manely Firm, P.C., where she continues to handle matters involving health law and child protection and advocacy issues in Georgia.
