About K. Page
K. Page Kistler built a career around family law over three decades. She earned a B.A. from the College of William and Mary in 1987 and later took up legal studies at Northeastern University School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 1998. Those academic choices set the stage for a practice that has crossed state lines between Massachusetts and Virginia.
Her early practice years were spent in Boston. In 2000 she joined Lee, Levine & Bowser, LLP as an associate, handling matters typical of a busy family law practice in the city. By 2003 she was operating under her own name in Boston as K. Page Kistler, Lawyer at Law. A year later she moved her practice to Virginia Beach and led K. PAGE KISTLER, P.C., taking on the administrative and client-facing responsibilities of firm leadership.
Kistler’s practice interests shifted gradually toward collaborative approaches and courtroom work. She has been active in professional groups that reflect that mix. Since 2005 she has been involved with Collaborative Divorce Solutions of Tidewater as a founding member and has served as its president. The same year she joined the International Association of Collaborative Professionals and the Virginia Beach Bar Association. She is also a member of the Virginia Bar Association’s Family Law Section, where she has been listed since 2004, and she holds membership in the Family Law Section of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association beginning in 2009.
Those affiliations underscore the dual nature of her practice: negotiated resolutions and contested proceedings. Colleagues note that she balances efforts to settle cases amicably with readiness to litigate when necessary. Over time her work has included divorce matters, custody and visitation disputes, and the procedural steps those cases require in two state systems.
Her move from Boston back to Virginia Beach marked a durable shift in location but not in scope. She maintained ties to the Massachusetts bar while establishing a practice in Virginia. In Virginia Beach she has continued to lead a small practice focusing on family law, and she has remained involved in regional professional groups and collaborative practice initiatives.
Kistler continues to practice family law from her Virginia Beach office and remains active in collaborative and family law organizations.
