About K. Brandon
K. Brandon Remington took a direct route into law after finishing a double major in political science and criminal justice at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2002. He earned his J.D. from Barry University in 2006. Those formative years shaped how he approaches cases: methodical, grounded in procedure and practical realities of court work.
Remington's early career moved quickly into firm practice. In 2010 he served as an associate lawyer at Phillips and McCrea, LLP, and later that year joined Tatum & Atkinson, PLLC as an associate. Those positions placed him in the daily grind of client intake, motion practice and courtroom preparation. He handled discovery, drafted pleadings and spent time in hearings. The experience built a foundation for running a practice of his own.
A year after those associate posts, Remington became a partner at Remington & Dixon, PLLC in 2011. As partner he has been responsible for case strategy, supervising junior attorneys and working directly with clients on matters that require careful legal analysis. He has overseen litigation teams and managed docketing and trial preparation. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in court and attentive at client meetings.
Education and early firm experience inform how he manages files. He prefers clear case plans and early evaluation of risks. That approach shows in how files progress from intake to resolution. He is comfortable both writing dispositive motions and preparing witnesses for trial. He also handles client counseling and settlement negotiations when those paths make sense for clients.
Remington is admitted to practice in North Carolina and Florida. He divides time between the two jurisdictions and maintains familiarity with the procedural rules in each. That dual admission means he files motions and appears in hearings across state lines, and he stays current on rule changes and local practice points. His work touches both trial courts and intermediate appellate procedures when appeals are necessary.
He has maintained a steady practice since becoming partner, balancing courtroom work with the administrative duties of running a small firm. The result is a practice that emphasizes litigation readiness, careful case management and direct client contact. He currently concentrates his practice on litigation and trial work across both North Carolina and Florida.
