About Meaghan
Meaghan Woodward earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2023 after completing a Bachelor of Science at Old Dominion University in 2019. Her path through higher education was compact. She moved from a broad undergraduate program into law school and completed her legal training in three years.
Woodward's time at Wake Forest coincided with the critical early stages of her legal career. She left law school with a professional degree and a readiness to practice in North Carolina. The transition from classroom to courthouse was recent, but deliberate. Her academic record provides the foundation for the work she now does.
After law school, Woodward joined Arnold & Smith PLLC as a lawyer. At the firm she works alongside more experienced attorneys and contributes to the firm’s caseload. Her daily tasks include legal research, drafting pleadings and client correspondence, and participating in strategy discussions. Those routine responsibilities shape the practical side of her practice and help her build courtroom and client-facing experience.
Woodward holds current membership in the North Carolina State Bar. That membership permits her to practice in the state and places her under the bar’s professional and ethical rules. She maintains that membership while developing her practice and integrating into the firm’s workflow.
Colleagues describe her work as methodical. She pays attention to detail and prefers clear, direct communication with clients and co-counsel. She takes routine casework seriously and uses early-career matters to refine practical skills. Clients benefit from a lawyer who prioritizes timely responses and thorough preparation.
Her professional activities to date are concentrated at Arnold & Smith PLLC. She is building experience across the types of matters the firm handles and learning the procedural instincts that come with practice. She continues to develop her capabilities through hands-on work at the firm and by remaining active in the state bar.
In her current practice at Arnold & Smith PLLC, Woodward advises and assists clients on matters brought to the firm and performs litigation-related and advisory work as required by her role.
