About Justin
Justin Shane earned a B.A. in International Relations and Economics from the University of Delaware in 1999. He went on to study law at Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he completed his J.D. in 2006. He later returned to the classroom, completing an M.S. in Secondary Science Education at the City University of New York’s Lehman College in 2014. Those three degrees—liberal arts, law and a graduate education credential—have shaped a professional path that moves between legal practice and an attention to detail that education training often demands.
After law school Shane entered private practice and built a legal career that spans two state jurisdictions. He is admitted to practice in both Delaware and New York. Over the years he has handled matters that require advising clients across state lines, and he has worked from his own office to serve individuals and organizations that need counsel in those states. He founded and operates the Law Office of Justin Shane, where he manages client engagements and legal filings.
Shane’s graduate study in secondary science education is an uncommon complement to a legal résumé. It gives him experience in explaining technical and procedural material to nonexperts. Colleagues and clients have noted that he tends to frame issues in teachable terms, breaking down complex rules into practical steps. That approach influences how he prepares documents, communicates strategy and sets expectations for people who may be unfamiliar with courtroom procedures or regulatory details.
Throughout his career he has navigated varied legal settings. He has combined courtroom work, written advocacy and client counseling. He emphasizes clear written work and careful preparation. Those habits serve him in cross-jurisdictional matters where timing and procedural differences can matter as much as substantive law.
He continues to practice from the Law Office of Justin Shane. He represents clients in matters handled under the laws and courts of Delaware and New York and manages engagements from intake through resolution. He currently practices through the Law Office of Justin Shane and handles legal matters in both Delaware and New York.
