About Justin

Justin Nell trained as a lawyer after completing undergraduate studies in International Political Economy at Pennsylvania State University, University Park. He earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in 2016. Those years set the foundation for a career that bridges civilian practice and military legal service.

He practices in Pennsylvania and serves as a partner at Nell Law Office. At the firm he manages client matters and day-to-day firm responsibilities. His role combines casework, client counseling and the administrative duties that come with running a small practice. The office handles matters in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where he is licensed to practice.

Parallel to his civilian work, Nell serves as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserves. In that capacity he advises service members on legal questions that arise under military law, assists with administrative processes and participates in the military justice system. The dual roles expose him to different procedural environments and require attention to both state rules and military regulations.

He maintains membership in professional associations and engages with colleagues across the legal and military communities. That involvement keeps him current on changes in law and procedure relevant to his practice. Colleagues describe his approach as pragmatic: he lays out options, explains likely outcomes and helps clients make informed choices.

Nell’s background in international political economy and his legal training inform his perspective on cases that touch on regulatory or cross-jurisdictional issues. He has experience advising individuals and organizations in matters that require clear explanation of complex legal points. Outside of courtroom and military duties, he takes part in routine professional activities that support continuing education and bar responsibilities.

As of 2026 he is active in practice as a partner at Nell Law Office and continues to serve in the United States Army Reserves, where his work concentrates on legal matters arising under Pennsylvania law and military law.
