About Justin Michael
Justin Michael Cordello attended New York Law School, entering in 1999 and earning his J.D. in 2002. He finished law school at a time when many young attorneys were weighing options between large firms and smaller practices. Cordello chose a path that put him in courtrooms and in firm offices early in his career.
He began his post-law school career in 2002 as an associate at Raab Sturn Goldman LLP. That first position gave him routine exposure to litigation practice and firm-side workflows. In 2005 he moved to Phillips Lytle as an associate, where he spent time on matters handled by a regional firm with a diverse docket. The next step came in 2006 when he joined Thomas & Solomon LLP as an associate. Each move added to his on-the-ground experience in New York practice settings and courtroom procedure.
Outside of firm work, Cordello has maintained professional association membership since 2003. That long-standing membership suggests steady engagement with the local legal community and continuing legal education. He has balanced firm responsibilities with involvement in association activities, attending meetings and seminars over the years.
Over time Cordello shifted from working within established firms to practicing under his own firm name. He now operates from offices listed under Cordello Law PLLC. The transition reflects a common arc in legal careers: gaining experience at several firms, then moving to a practice structured around individual priorities and client relationships. At his own firm he handles the administrative duties that come with practice ownership as well as client work.
Colleagues describe him as deliberate in courtroom preparation and attentive to procedural detail. He has handled matters across New York jurisdictional lines and is familiar with state court rules and filings. His career path shows steady movement through a sequence of associate roles into private practice, each role building on the last.
Cordello’s record is one of sustained practice in New York since completing law school. He remains active in the bar community and continues to represent clients from his office at Cordello Law PLLC. He focuses his practice on matters brought in New York state courts.
