About Justin M

Justin M Sparks earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2007. He moved from the study of business to the practice of law quickly. Those academic years anchored a practical approach to courtroom work and client service.

He began his legal career in 2007 at Kearney, Wynn & Sparks, joining a small firm environment where he handled a range of matters early in his practice. The next year he took a position as an assistant district lawyer at the Tarrant County District Lawyer’s Office. That role put him in the public sector and gave him courtroom time on criminal matters. After several years of public and private work, he opened his own practice in 2013 and began practicing under the Justin Sparks Law Office name in Fort Worth.

Sparks has been active in professional circles that address criminal defense practice and courtroom procedure. He was a member of the Eldon B. Mahon American Inn of Court from 2009 to 2011. He also holds memberships in the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Those affiliations have kept him connected to local and statewide developments in criminal law and trial advocacy.

Recognition in his career includes an A+ accreditation from the Better Business Bureau for his business and an Avvo Clients’ Choice mention in criminal defense for 2015. He uses those acknowledgments as part of a practical record of client feedback and business standing rather than as promotional shorthand. His background includes both prosecutorial experience and private practice work, which he says informs how he evaluates cases and prepares for trial.

Today Sparks practices in Fort Worth, operating the Justin Sparks Law Office. He represents clients in state criminal matters and handles pretrial preparation, motion practice, and trial work in the Tarrant County area. The office maintains a local presence and a practice devoted to criminal defense in Texas.

His current practice focuses on criminal defense in Fort Worth.
