About Abigail D.

Abigail D. Irwin combined an early interest in environmental systems with formal legal training to shape the start of her practice. She earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of San Francisco in 2019. After that, she attended Texas Tech University School of Law, completing her J.D. in 2023 and concentrating in Enery Law. Those academic choices set the tone for the kinds of matters she pursued once she entered practice.

After law school, Irwin began practicing in Texas. She joined Brown Pruitt Wambsganss Dean Forman & Moore, P.C., where she applied her academic background to real-world matters. Her admission to the Texas bar allows her to advise clients on state-specific regulatory requirements and permitting processes.

Her training bridges environmental and energy subjects. At the firm she works on regulatory and compliance matters that touch on environmental permitting, state energy rules, and related transactional issues. The combination of an environmental undergraduate degree and an Enery Law concentration provides context for advising clients that operate at the intersection of natural resources and regulated industries. She also assists with preparing filings and documentation required by state agencies.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in her approach to legal problems. She breaks down technical regulatory language and connects it to practical next steps. That approach helps when projects require coordination among engineers, regulators, and business leaders. Irwin spends time reviewing statutory provisions and agency guidance so that clients receive clear explanations of obligations and potential timelines.

Outside of client work, her academic record reflects attention to policy and regulatory frameworks. The university and law school experiences gave her exposure to environmental policy debates and to the statutory and administrative law tools that shape energy projects. That background contributes to how she frames issues for clients and for the firm’s internal case planning.

In practice she works on matters arising under Texas law involving environmental and energy regulatory compliance, permitting, and transactional documentation. She is currently based at Brown Pruitt Wambsganss Dean Forman & Moore, P.C., where her practice concentrates on energy and environmental matters in Texas.
