About Justin D.
Justin D. Bice built a career that began in small-town classrooms and led to courtrooms across two states. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Methodist University in 2004 and completed his juris doctor at the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2008. The dates mark milestones; the work that followed has defined his professional life.
While at law school he served as Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business in 2007. That editorial role gave him courtroom-ready habits: careful reading, clear argument and attention to precedent. Those habits shaped his early years as an associate at James, McElroy & Diehl, P.A., where he began practicing in 2008 and handled civil litigation matters for private clients.
In 2012 he opened his own practice, founding Bice Law LLC. As owner and lawyer he expanded the firm’s geographic reach and its docket. Over the years he has pursued claims on behalf of individuals in personal injury matters and other civil disputes. He has argued motions, negotiated settlements and filed appeals when necessary. The move from associate to firm founder changed his daily routine, but not the central task: representing clients and advancing their legal claims.
He holds admission to a range of courts. That list includes the North Carolina and South Carolina bars, the United States Supreme Court, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and all federal district courts in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Professional membership is part of his practice. He maintains memberships in the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, and local bar groups in Mecklenburg and York counties.
Bice Law LLC operates from multiple offices across the Carolinas. The firm maintains locations in Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Charlotte, Greenville, Winston-Salem, Raleigh and Greensboro. The multiple offices allow the firm to handle cases in state and federal courts across both states and to meet clients where they live.
Colleagues describe his work as thorough and practical. He balances case preparation with the demands of running a small firm. He has experience taking cases through discovery, settlement negotiations and trial when required. He also handles appellate work in the Fourth Circuit and before other federal tribunals.
Today Justin D. Bice continues to practice through Bice Law LLC, representing clients in personal injury and related civil litigation across North and South Carolina, managing a multi-office practice that serves towns and cities across the region.
