About Julie B
Julie B Isen graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2002 with a B.A. in political science. She earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2006. Those years shaped an early interest in courtroom work and public-service practice.
After law school Isen began her legal career as a certified law clerk in 2007 at the Office of the Public Defender, Juvenile Division. That role placed her in court on juvenile matters and gave her hands-on experience with client interviews, legal research and motion practice. She moved into private practice in the early 2010s, joining The Miller Firm, LLC in 2011 and the Law Offices of Edward H. Cross & Associates in 2012. In 2014 she took a lawyer position at the Law Offices of Michael R. Kaiser, where she remains on staff.
Isen is admitted to practice in both Illinois and California. Over more than a decade she has worked on cases in multiple state courts and developed experience in litigation procedures and courtroom settings. Her background includes time in a public defender’s office as well as several private-firm roles, which together have exposed her to different sides of contested matters and to the demands of trial calendars.
Outside the office she has maintained memberships in organizations that focus on professional networking and community engagement. She has been part of The Girlfriend Factor since 2014 and is listed as a volunteer member of the Women Leader s Forum beginning in 2015. Those activities have run alongside her legal work and provided additional forums for mentoring and peer connection.
In the Law Offices of Michael R. Kaiser Isen continues to represent clients and appear in court. Her current work centers on representing clients in state-court matters in Illinois and California.
