About Julia Michelle
Julia Michelle McGuinness trained at Southwestern University School of Law, where she completed her legal studies before entering practice. Her time at the school provided the foundation for a legal career based in California. She followed that training with bar admission in the state and built her practice around the particular procedures and rules of California courts.
She began practicing in California soon after completing law school and has worked in private practice for the bulk of her career. Her name appears on the roster at McGuinness & Associates, where she maintains an office. Over the years she has handled a steady docket of client matters and developed a working knowledge of litigation and transactional procedures common to state practice.
Admitted to practice in California, McGuinness routinely advises clients on legal options and represents them in proceedings before local tribunals. Her day-to-day work includes client counseling, document drafting, negotiation and appearances in court when matters proceed to trial. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical; she prepares cases with attention to procedural detail and practical outcomes that reflect the realities of the California legal system.
Outside of direct client work she has remained engaged with the legal community in ways that support ongoing professional development and connection to peers. She has participated in professional associations and continues to keep abreast of changes to state rules and case law that affect her clients. Her office at McGuinness & Associates serves as a base for intake, client meetings and case preparation. She is licensed to practice law in California and currently represents clients in matters arising under California law.
