About Robert E.
Robert E. Wasserman studied journalism before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Arizona and later completed his J.D. at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. While at Thomas Jefferson he also received a Certificate in Global Legal Studies, a program that expanded his exposure to legal practice across different jurisdictions.
He entered legal work through internships and early staff positions. In 2012 he served as a legal intern with the California Innocence Project at California Western School of Law. That placement placed him in a team environment focused on case investigation and research. In 2014 he worked as a legal intern for Scales of Justice, LLP. The following year he took a position as a legal analyst at Mirama Enterprises, Inc., doing business as Aroma Housewares Company, where he handled corporate legal tasks and supported counsel on compliance and contract matters.
In 2018 he established the Robert E. Wasserman Law Offices and serves as the firm’s owner. He runs a small practice and manages the day-to-day responsibilities that come with leading a solo office. The move to open his own firm marked a shift from staff roles to full responsibility for client intake, case strategy, and courtroom representation.
Wasserman is admitted to practice in California. He is also admitted to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Those admissions allow him to carry matters from state tribunals into the federal system when cases require it.
His early experience includes both investigative post-conviction work and corporate legal analysis. The mix of public-interest internship work and private-sector legal analysis informs how he evaluates a case and prepares for hearings. He handles legal research, drafting, and advocacy for clients who require representation in state and federal venues.
He maintains his practice through the Robert E. Wasserman Law Offices and represents clients in matters filed in state and federal courts. He continues to accept cases and advise clients through his solo practice.
