About Joshua Thermon

Joshua Thermon Teague built a steady path into law that began in the classroom and moved quickly into courtrooms. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education from Kennesaw State University in 2006, then completed his Juris Doctor at Florida Coastal School of Law in 2010. Early practical training came during law school, when he served as a law intern in 2010 at the United States Lawyers Office and earlier took a judicial law internship in 2007 with the Appalachian Judicial Circuit.

After passing through those formative internships, Teague entered private practice. He joined Mahan & Associates as an associate in 2011, where he spent time learning the routines of case preparation, client counseling and courtroom procedure. Those years in a small firm setting exposed him to trial work and the demands of representing clients in contested matters. In 2017 he left that role and opened his own firm, Teague Law: The Josh Teague Firm, LLC, where he acts as principal lawyer.

Teague is licensed to practice in Georgia. He has maintained membership in the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2016, an affiliation that places him in a professional community devoted to criminal defense practice in the state. That association work complements the trial experience he accumulated as an associate and as a solo practitioner.

Colleagues describe Teague as pragmatic in handling caseloads and attentive to courtroom detail. His early exposure to a judicial chamber and to a federal office helped form a practice style that mixes courtroom readiness with client explanation. He handles hearings, pretrial motions and jury trials, and spends part of his week preparing cases for the courtroom. He often represents individuals facing a range of criminal charges in state courts across Georgia.

Outside the courtroom, Teague’s background in education informs how he communicates complex legal issues to clients. He emphasizes clarity in explaining options and in outlining likely outcomes. That practical orientation guides the way he approaches cases and client meetings.

Today he practices from Teague Law: The Josh Teague Firm, LLC, where he represents clients in criminal matters and related proceedings in Georgia courts.
