About Joshua
Joshua Schwartz earned his law degree from Widener University in 2008 after completing a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and Sciences at Pennsylvania State University in 2005. His undergraduate work emphasized rhetorical theory, a background that shapes the way he approaches argument and advocacy in the courtroom. He moved from academic study into practice in Pennsylvania, where he has built a career that blends trial work, association leadership, and community involvement.
He is a partner at Eisenberg, Rothweiler, Winkler, Eisenberg & Jeck, P.C., a role he holds after years of courtroom experience and firm service. At the firm he handles litigation matters and contributes to case strategy, client counseling, and trial preparation. Colleagues describe him as someone who prefers direct communication and clear planning. He takes responsibility for cases from early motion practice through trial and settlement discussions.
Trial work and professional engagement intersect in Schwartz’s extracurricular roles. He currently serves on the board of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and chairs that group’s Future Leaders Section. He has also served as a chair for the Pennsylvania Association for Justice’s Future Leaders program. Those positions have put him in frequent contact with other lawyers, judges, and court staff across the commonwealth. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association as well.
Schwartz founded The Spruce Foundation, a nonprofit initiative that reflects an interest outside strict legal practice. The foundation is part of his broader profile as a lawyer who spends time on organizational leadership in addition to courtroom work. He has taken leadership roles aimed at supporting the next generation of trial attorneys and at creating opportunities for mentorship within local legal circles.
His background in rhetorical studies informs how he prepares witnesses and presents evidence. He favors concise, fact-driven narratives in court. He also works on case development and client-facing communication, areas where a civilian sensibility about clear explanation can matter. He regularly appears in Pennsylvania courts and participates in continuing legal education events tied to trial practice.
Today Schwartz practices as a partner at Eisenberg, Rothweiler, Winkler, Eisenberg & Jeck, P.C., remains active in local and state trial lawyer organizations, and leads efforts directed at emerging trial attorneys. His current practice centers on litigation and trial representation in Pennsylvania.
