Joshua Mogin is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2005. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Mogin is a partner at Raines Feldman LLP, a full-service law firm located in Los Angeles, California. He has been practicing law for over twenty years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding counties in Southern California.
Mr. Mogin earned his Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law, where he graduated in 1997. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Stanford University, receiving both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in 1994. During his time at NYU Law, he was a member of the Law Review and participated in the school's clinical legal education program.
Mr. Mogin concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate and finance law. He represents institutional lenders, financial institutions, developers, special servicers, rating agencies, insurance companies, credit unions, hotels, and property owners in matters involving financing, securitization, construction financing, agency lending, mezzanine financing, loan restructurings, foreclosures, acquisitions, and dispositions. His practice encompasses all stages of these transactions, including initial case evaluation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Mogin has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Raines Feldman LLP, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Mr. Mogin is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law. He is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Mogin is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
