About Joseph J.
Joseph J. Russo has spent his career in courtrooms and law offices across the Northeast. He works as a trial lawyer and managing partner, representing clients in matters that often require litigation experience and courtroom advocacy. Colleagues note a steady professional trajectory that moved from public service to private practice.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Lafayette College in 1999. He later completed a Juris Doctor at St. John’s University School of Law in 2005. Russo also completed a Negotiation Mastery certification at Harvard Business School, a credential he draws on during settlement talks.
His first post-law school position listed is as an assistant district lawyer in the Brooklyn District Lawyer’s Office in 2008. That early work placed him on the prosecution side of courtroom procedures and trial preparation. He left public service to enter private practice and joined Hill and Moin in 2011, where he handled litigation matters and gained experience in civil courtroom advocacy.
In 2012 Russo took on a managing partner role at the Injury Law Center. The change marked a move into leadership responsibilities alongside a continued role as a trial lawyer. Five years later, in 2017, he is recorded as a managing partner and trial lawyer at Granite Law Group. Those positions reflect a pattern of combining casework with firm management and trial supervision.
He is admitted to practice in New York, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and he holds admissions to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Those federal and state admissions have enabled him to handle matters across several jurisdictions.
Russo participates in professional organizations around the region. He serves on the board of the New Hampshire Association for Justice and holds memberships in the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers and the New Hampshire Bar Association. He has maintained active ties to bar and trial lawyer groups through his career.
In day-to-day practice he blends courtroom experience, negotiation training and firm management. That combination shapes how he prepares cases and approaches dispute resolution. He currently practices at Granite Law Group, where his work centers on personal injury and civil litigation.
