About Joseph H.

Joseph H. Haddad took a route that mixed regional roots with national training. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Global Trade from High Point University before heading to Washington University School of Law for his J.D. The combination of an undergraduate degree that emphasized international commerce and a law degree from a major research university set up a practical approach to complex business problems.

After law school he served as a judicial law clerk to Chief Judge Thomas Fulton at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky. That clerkship placed him at the center of Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 dockets and exposed him to the procedural and factual details that shape bankruptcy litigation and restructuring work. The experience also gave him daily contact with judges, trustees, and a range of creditors, sharpening his sense of how cases proceed from filing to resolution.

He moved into private practice as an associate at Seiller Waterman LLC. At the firm he has worked on matters that draw on his bankruptcy court experience. As an associate he has handled filings, drafted motions, and participated in hearings. Colleagues describe him as methodical and precise in court papers and prepared in oral argument. His work reflects an attention to deadlines and an ability to translate technical financial information into clear legal positions.

Haddad is licensed to practice in Kentucky and maintains professional ties through membership in the American Bar Association. He attends local court proceedings regularly and remains engaged in the legal community the way a former clerk often does—by watching how judges rule and by refining litigation strategies based on those observations.

His education and early career choices have shaped the subjects he takes on. The Global Trade degree provided a grounding in cross-border commerce and supply chains. The bankruptcy clerkship added depth on insolvency, creditor priorities, and procedural mechanics. Those strands come together in the matters he accepts at the firm, where the legal questions are often technical and fact-intensive.

He is based at Seiller Waterman LLC in Kentucky and handles matters across state and federal bankruptcy dockets. He currently concentrates his practice on bankruptcy and creditors' rights in Kentucky.
