About Joseph F.

Joseph F. Culgin is an attorney who practices in Massachusetts. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 2005 and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law in 2008. Those academic years shaped an early interest in civil litigation and insurance matters.

After law school he began his professional career at the Law Office of Paul S. Danahy in 2008. That initial year in private practice gave him exposure to courtroom procedure and client counseling in a small-firm environment. The following year he took on an in-house role as staff counsel for AIG while associated with the Long & Leahy firm. That position placed him inside large insurance operations and involved him in defense work, policy interpretation, and claims handling.

By 2016 Culgin had returned to private practice and joined The Keches Law Group, P.C. There he continued handling matters that draw on his earlier exposure to insurance defense and general civil litigation. His work over the years has involved drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and appearing in state court. Colleagues describe him as thorough in preparation; clients have relied on him for straightforward legal advice.

Culgin has maintained ties to the broader Massachusetts legal community. He holds membership in the Massachusetts Bar Association and participates in association activities. That connection keeps him informed about changes in state rules and court procedures. He has also worked alongside other attorneys in multi-party matters and has experience coordinating litigation strategy when several firms are involved.

Outside of courtroom appearances his practice includes counseling clients on risk assessment and resolving disputes before trial when possible. He handles the practical steps of litigation and the strategic choices that arise as cases progress. In recent years he has focused on ensuring that case plans reflect the realities of cost, timing, and client goals.

Today he is based at The Keches Law Group, P.C., where he continues to represent clients in Massachusetts courts and handle pretrial matters. He remains an active member of the state bar and practices civil litigation and insurance-related defense work as part of his current practice focus.
