About Joseph E. (Jed) Dietrich
Joseph E. (Jed) Dietrich III earned his J.D. from SUNY Buffalo Law School in 1995 after completing a Bachelor of Business Administration at Temple University in 1991. Those formative years shaped how he approaches the law: practical, detail-oriented and attentive to the business realities that often surround legal disputes. He headed into practice equipped with both legal training and an understanding of commercial principles.
He built his career in New York. Over time he took on increasing responsibility inside his firm and among clients. He became president of Dietrich Law Office P.C., a role that places him at the center of case strategy, client intake and the operational decisions that keep a small firm running. While the title suggests management, the work still includes day-to-day legal tasks: research, drafting, negotiations and appearances when cases require it.
Dietrich maintains active membership in the State Bar of New York. That membership ties him to the regulatory and educational ecosystem of the state bar, and keeps him connected to continuing legal education offerings and professional rules. His practice draws on the procedural and substantive law of New York courts and administrative bodies.
Colleagues and clients encounter an attorney who is comfortable on both transactional and litigation fronts. He handles matters that require a steady grasp of procedure and an eye for practical outcomes. His background in business from Temple informs how he evaluates settlements and structures client advice. He approaches disputes with an emphasis on clear options and realistic timelines.
Over the years he has overseen cases that range in scale. In smaller matters he provides hands-on attention; in larger matters he coordinates resources and delegates while retaining strategic oversight. That dual role—practitioner and manager—defines much of his daily practice. He balances client-facing work with the administrative responsibilities that come with running a law office.
Today he continues to practice at Dietrich Law Office P.C. in New York. He remains an active member of the State Bar of New York and continues to advise clients on matters governed by New York law. His current practice focuses on advising clients and representing them in matters arising under New York law.
