About Joseph D.

Joseph D. DiMauro built his legal foundation at Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2002. He then returned to the classroom to complete an LL.M. in Tax Law at Boston University School of Law in 2003. Before law school he studied mathematics at Central Connecticut State University, graduating with a B.A. in 1999. That combination of legal training and quantitative study has shaped the kind of matters he handles and how he approaches them.

His career has been anchored in Connecticut. He is licensed to practice in the state and maintains active membership in the Connecticut State Bar. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association. Those memberships reflect a practice tied to state and national developments in law, and they provide channels for staying current on changes that affect clients.

DiMauro’s academic emphasis on tax law informs much of his day-to-day work. The LL.M. provided advanced study in tax principles, and his mathematical background supports detailed analysis of complicated tax and financial issues. He applies that combination to matters that require precise calculation and careful interpretation of tax rules.

He keeps offices in Rocky Hill and Plantsville. From those locations he handles legal matters for individuals and businesses across the state. The two offices allow for direct client contact in different parts of Connecticut and for handling matters that require both local presence and deeper technical work.

Throughout his practice he has engaged with professional groups that focus on legal development and standards. Membership in state and national bar organizations gives him access to continuing legal education, committees, and professional resources commonly used by practitioners who work on tax and related areas of law.

Colleagues and clients have described his work as methodical and detail-oriented. He approaches tax questions by breaking them into component parts and applying statutory and regulatory tests. That methodical approach is well suited to disputes, planning, and compliance matters that turn on numbers as much as on law.

He currently practices tax law from offices in Rocky Hill and Plantsville, handling tax and related legal matters for clients in Connecticut.
