About Jordan
Jordan Butler entered the law after a steady progression through Midwestern schools. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from William Jewell College in 2013, then completed her Juris Doctor at Saint Louis University School of Law in 2018. Those years shaped a practical approach to legal work and provided classroom grounding in both policy and procedure.
While in law school and shortly after, Butler took on several clerk and internship roles that exposed her to courtroom practice and government law. In 2016 she worked as a law clerk at TorHoerman Law, LLC and at the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office. In 2018 she served as a legal intern in the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Office of General Counsel. Those positions added hands-on experience to her academic training and helped her learn to manage case work and legal research under court and agency timelines.
Butler joined Spiros Law, P.C. after taking the bar and started as an associate in 2018. She remained with the firm and advanced to Senior Associate in 2023. Over those years she has handled matters for the firm across different stages of litigation and case preparation. Her steady progression at Spiros Law reflects growing responsibility for client files and courtroom readiness.
She holds a license to practice law in Illinois and maintains memberships in several professional organizations. Butler is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Vermilion County Bar Association and the Champaign County Bar Association. She also belongs to the Illinois Trial Lawyer Association and the American Association for Justice. These affiliations connect her to local and statewide legal communities and to resources pertinent to contested civil matters.
Colleagues describe Butler as methodical in file preparation and responsive to court deadlines. She blends trial training from early career public defense work with private firm litigation routines. That combination informs how she approaches discovery, client interviews and motion practice.
Outside the firm she has continued to be active in bar association events and educational offerings that support trial work and courtroom procedure. Her practice remains anchored at Spiros Law, P.C., where she serves as a Senior Associate handling litigation and related client representation matters.
She currently practices in Illinois and concentrates on litigation and courtroom representation at Spiros Law, P.C.
