About Alison
Alison Kimble entered law from a mixed background in business and public service. She completed a J.D. at Michigan State University in 2018 after earning a B.S. in Finance from Purdue University in 2015 and an A.A.S. in Business Administration and Management from Parkland College in 2013. During her undergraduate years she took part in the Student Athlete Advisory Committee from 2013 to 2015, an early sign of interest in group governance and institutional process.
Her legal training overlapped with practical placements. In 2016 she served as a legal intern at Prairie State Legal Services, where she worked on matters involving access to legal resources for low-income clients. The next year she held a 711-licensed law clerk position in the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, gaining experience on the government side of legal work. Those roles followed an earlier job as a utility worker for the Village of Greenup in 2011, a position that predated law school but shaped a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
After finishing law school in 2018, Kimble joined Spiros Law, P.C. as an associate lawyer the same year. She remained at the firm and was promoted to senior associate in 2023, taking on greater responsibilities in case management and client work. The timeline shows a steady progression through increasingly complex file ownership and leadership within the team at Spiros Law.
Kimble is licensed to practice in Illinois. Her combined academic background in finance and business, together with hands-on public interest and government experience, gives her a working knowledge of both transactional and regulatory concerns. She has handled matters that required coordinating with government offices and providing direct assistance to individuals, reflecting the mix of her earlier internships and clerkship.
Colleagues describe her approach as methodical and pragmatic; she tends to break complex problems into discrete tasks and to prepare thoroughly for hearings and client meetings. Outside the office she has maintained connections to the collegiate athletic community through her prior advisory committee role, a thread that influenced her interest in institutional rules and compliance.
She currently practices at Spiros Law, P.C., where her work involves the range of matters the firm handles.
