About Jordan Blue
Jordan Blue Charnetsky trained first as a social scientist. She earned a B.A. in Psychology and Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2014. She continued her studies at Syracuse University College of Law and received her J.D. in 2018. Those academic years combined empirical thinking and doctrinal study. The result is an analytical approach that she brings to legal questions.
After law school, Charnetsky entered private practice in New York. She is admitted to the New York bar and also holds admission to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. She is an attorney at Levene Gouldin & Thompson, LLP, where she works on matters that proceed in both state and federal venues. Her work requires courtroom preparation, client counseling and written advocacy.
Outside the firm, Charnetsky has pursued community work connected to public health and recovery services. Since 2019 she has served on the Board of Directors of the Addiction Center of Broome County. That role places her at the intersection of legal, medical and social services discussions. Board service has added a steady strand of nonprofit governance to her professional activity.
Colleagues describe her courtroom approach as methodical. She combines the economic and behavioral insights from her undergraduate studies with the legal training from Syracuse to structure cases and evaluate risk. She prepares pleadings, manages discovery and presents arguments in court, tailoring strategy to the procedural posture of each matter. When cases touch on the kinds of social issues she engages with through nonprofit work, she draws on that experience to frame client needs for judges and other stakeholders.
Charnetsky has maintained a steady presence in the regional legal community since joining the bar. She participates in professional events and appears in matters before state and federal judges in the region. Her practice sits at the intersection of litigation and client advice, shaped by a background in psychology, economics and law. She practices at Levene Gouldin & Thompson, LLP and represents clients in matters heard in New York state and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
