About Jonny
Jonny Kool began a path to law after completing a bachelor’s degree at Ithaca College in 1979 and then earning his J.D. from New England Law | Boston in 1988. He entered the legal profession at a time of change in both state and federal courts. The combination of an undergraduate liberal arts background and a late-1980s legal education informs a practice that balances traditional courtroom skills with attention to procedural detail.
He was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1988 and to the State Bar of New York in 1989. Over the years he added admissions to several federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of New York. He maintains current memberships in the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Massachusetts State Bar. Those memberships reflect a steady presence in bar activities and ongoing contact with peers across both states.
Kool became a partner in 1995 at Queller, Fisher, Washor, Fuchs & Kool, LLP. That step came after several years of practice following law school. As a partner, he has shared responsibility for case management, client counseling and courtroom work. He has worked on matters that required coordination across state lines and in federal forums, and he has overseen teams handling discovery, motion practice and trial preparation.
His courtroom work has been supported by repeated appearances in trial and motion settings in both New York and Massachusetts. He handles the procedural demands of litigation, from drafting pleadings to arguing motions and taking testimony. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in unexpected moments and methodical in preparation. He pays attention to the often-overlooked details that can shape the arc of a case.
Today he practices at Queller, Fisher, Washor, Fuchs & Kool, LLP. He represents clients in state and federal courts across New York and Massachusetts. His current practice centers on litigation in those jurisdictions and the federal courts where he maintains admission.
