About Jonna
Jonna Spilbor earned her law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1993. She was admitted to the State Bar of California the same year. Years of courtroom work followed, and she expanded her admissions portfolio to include the District of Columbia and New York in 2002.
She began building her practice in the early 2000s. Memberships in the District of Columbia Bar and the New York State Bar date to 2002 and remain active. Her federal admissions include the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and both the Southern and Northern Districts of New York. In 2010 she joined the National College for DUI Defense, an organization for lawyers who handle impaired-driving cases.
In 2008 she established Jonna Spilbor Law and has served as the firm’s founding attorney since then. The firm maintains an office in New York City. Over the years she has handled matters in state and federal courts across the jurisdictions where she is admitted. Her practice has involved appearances in both trial and appellate settings.
Colleagues and court records show a steady involvement in cases that implicate driving under the influence law and related criminal matters. Membership in the National College for DUI Defense suggests continuing engagement with developments in that area. At the same time, her admissions to multiple federal courts reflect work that extends beyond any single topic and across multiple procedural contexts.
She runs a small firm that serves clients in New York City and elsewhere in the states and districts where she holds licenses. That practice combines court appearances, motion work and case preparation. As of 2026 she maintains active bar memberships in California, New York and the District of Columbia and practices through Jonna Spilbor Law in New York City, handling matters in state and federal courts including impaired-driving cases.
