About Jonathan W.

Jonathan W. Wolfe built a practice that moves between trial court work and appellate advocacy. He took a conventional route into law, earning his B.A. from Cornell University in 1998 and his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2001. Those credentials set the groundwork for a career focused on litigation and appeals.

After law school, Wolfe entered private practice and over time became associated with Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C. He has handled matters in state and federal forums and has developed a practice that includes both courtroom litigation and briefing at the appellate level. His work has required him to switch gears frequently: preparing a jury case one week and drafting appellate briefs the next. That range has been a throughline of his legal life.

Wolfe is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. He is also admitted to the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits and to the United States Supreme Court. Those admissions reflect steady appellate activity and recurring appearances before appellate tribunals. He maintains an active membership in the American Bar Association.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in litigation, preferring clear legal strategies over dramatic gestures. He emphasizes precise briefing and careful preservation of issues for appeal. In depositions and hearings he keeps an eye on the appellate record; when taking cases to trial he is mindful of how evidence will read on appeal. That practical orientation informs how he prepares clients and structures arguments.

At Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C., Wolfe works alongside other litigators on complex civil matters. The firm handles a range of disputes that require both trial experience and appellate savvy. Within that environment Wolfe has continued to handle appeals himself while also participating in trial preparation and case management. His practice blends hands-on courtroom work with extended periods of research and brief writing.

Outside the courtroom Wolfe has remained engaged with professional groups through bar association membership. He keeps current on case law developments and appellate procedure through continuing legal education and case monitoring. He splits his time between trial calendars and appellate dockets.

He currently practices at Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C., handling civil litigation and appellate matters in state and federal courts.
