About Jonathan T.

Jonathan T. Savella built a practice that moves between federal courtrooms and a small private office. He completed his legal education at Brooklyn Law School, earning a J.D. in 2010. Before that he received a B.S. from the State University of New York at Brockport in 2006. Those classroom years led quickly to courtroom work.

He began his legal career as an associate at the Law Office of Marc Fernich in 2010. That early period was spent learning the mechanics of litigation and client counseling. In 2013 he joined the federal bench as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael A. Shipp, U.S. District Judge. The clerkship exposed him to federal case management, opinion drafting and the day-to-day rhythm of a busy district court.

In 2015 he opened his own practice, the Law Office of Jonathan Savella. He has since managed a solo office and taken responsibility for case strategy, client intake and courtroom appearances. Running a small office requires a mix of litigation skills and practical management. Those demands have shaped how he approaches each matter.

Savella is admitted in New York and New Jersey, and he holds admissions to several federal courts. Those include the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of New York. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. His practice regularly involves filings and proceedings in the courts where he is credentialed.

Clients encounter him most often in litigation settings. His background includes work at a boutique firm, a federal clerkship, and the daily responsibilities that come with operating a solo practice. He prepares pleadings, handles motion practice and represents clients at hearings and trials when matters proceed to that stage. The combination of private practice and federal experience informs how he manages deadlines and legal strategy.

He continues to maintain the Law Office of Jonathan Savella. He represents clients in the state and federal courts where he is admitted and oversees the matters handled by his office, including litigation and appellate work when cases move beyond the trial court.
