About Norman

Norman Spencer earned his J.D. from Ohio State University in 2005. He studied law during a period of evolving practice standards, finishing his degree ready to enter firm life and public practice. The law school years left him grounded in traditional legal research and courtroom procedure, and he moved into practice soon after graduation.

He established the Norman Spencer Law Group PC in 2007. The firm has been the center of his professional life since then. Early years involved standard tasks for a new solo practitioner: client intake, drafting documents, and local court appearances. Over time the office expanded its capacity to handle more complex matters and to serve clients across state lines.

Spencer holds bar memberships in two neighboring states. He joined the State Bar of New Jersey in 2006 and became a member of the State Bar of New York in 2007. Those admissions allow him to represent clients in matters that arise under both jurisdictions. He maintains those memberships and appears regularly in state courts and administrative forums in the region.

His practice is built around steady, practical representation. He handles matters that require attention to state statutes and procedural rules. That work often involves drafting pleadings, negotiating resolutions, and representing clients at hearings. He works directly with clients to identify concrete steps and to manage case timelines.

Colleagues and clients describe his approach as matter-of-fact. He prioritizes clear communication and predictable processes. Cases are managed with an eye toward procedural detail and realistic expectations. The office employs standard tools for case management and document preparation, and it coordinates with outside specialists when matters require additional technical input.

Outside the office, Spencer’s professional activity has remained local and practice-focused. He has not been noted for academy or bar leadership roles in public records available through the firm listing. Instead, his time is largely devoted to client matters and to the administration of the firm he founded nearly two decades ago.

As of 2026 he continues to practice through the Norman Spencer Law Group PC, holding active bar memberships in New Jersey and New York and concentrating on state-level matters arising in those jurisdictions. His current practice focuses on serving clients in New York and New Jersey through his firm.
