About Jonathan Sevier

Jonathan Sevier Cave built a steady path into the law. He completed graduate study at Tulane University in 2003 and earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2008. Those years set the groundwork for a legal career centered in Tennessee.

Soon after finishing law school he joined The Cave Law Office, PLLC and became a partner in 2008. That step put him in a private-practice role early in his professional life. Over the years he has maintained his practice at the same firm and has handled matters arising under Tennessee law.

Cave is licensed to practice in Tennessee and holds memberships in local bar organizations. He is a current member of the Knoxville Bar Association and the Greene County Bar Association. Those memberships keep him connected to the legal community and to forums where local rules, court procedures, and professional standards are discussed.

Colleagues describe his work as steady and pragmatic. He steers cases through state court processes and advises clients on procedural and substantive issues they are likely to encounter in Tennessee. His experience in a small firm setting means he often manages both courtroom appearances and the client-facing details of a case. He has worked on a range of matters typically handled in state courts, and he brings that practical knowledge to each file.

Outside of court calendars and client meetings, Cave’s practice reflects the rhythm of local legal work. He has continued to build ties within the regional bar associations and to serve clients from across the area. He remains based at The Cave Law Office, PLLC. He currently focuses his practice on representing clients in Tennessee state courts.
