About Jonathan Jack
Jonathan Jack Walters earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Arizona State University in 2012 and completed his Juris Doctor at Texas A&M University School of Law in 2016. His academic path combined a broad interest in public policy with three years of formal legal training. Those years shaped how he approaches client matters today.
He began his legal career after law school as an associate at Joeckel Law Office in 2016. The role gave him steady courtroom exposure and time handling civil matters. He spent several years there building practical skills and learning how to manage case files, discovery, and client expectations under pressure.
In 2022 Walters opened Walters Law Office, PLLC. Starting his own firm allowed him to set how cases are staffed and how clients are served. As a founding lawyer he handles intake, strategy, and court appearances. Running a small firm also requires overseeing administrative duties and maintaining professional relationships across the local bar.
Walters is admitted to practice in Texas and is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He maintains membership in the State Bar of Texas and participates in several local and statewide bar groups. That involvement includes the Tarrant County Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Section and the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, both of which he has been connected to for years.
His professional affiliations extend to the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas A&M Aggie Bar Association. Those memberships reflect continued engagement with trial practice issues and ties to his law school community. He attends local section meetings and contributes to discussions pertinent to solo and small-firm practice.
Colleagues describe Walters as pragmatic in the courtroom and methodical in preparation. He approaches cases by breaking them into manageable tasks and setting clear timelines. He balances litigation work with the everyday demands of running a boutique practice. Clients work with him directly on strategy, motion practice, and settlement negotiations.
Walters Law Office, PLLC operates out of the Tarrant County area and handles matters that require federal and state filings in Texas. The firm’s docket includes trials and pretrial litigation in both the Eastern and Northern Districts when federal jurisdiction is at issue. He currently focuses his practice on civil litigation in Texas state and federal courts.
