About Arturo C.

Arturo C. Aguilar grew up in South Texas and built an academic path that combined law and public policy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley in 2011 and stayed at the same institution for a master’s degree in Public Policy, awarded in 2014. He finished law school at the University of Houston Law Center, receiving his J.D. in 2017.

His legal career began immediately after law school. In 2017 he joined Royston Rayzor Vickery & Williams, LLP as an associate. A year later he moved to Wright Close Barger, LLP, where he continued to develop his practice. In 2020 he became an associate at Meyer Orlando, LLC. In 2022 he founded Art Aguilar Law Office, PC and serves as its managing partner. The move to open his own firm marked a shift from an associate role at established firms to leading a small firm handling matters across Texas.

Aguilar is admitted to practice in Texas and in the federal courts that cover the state. He holds admission in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Western and Northern Districts of Texas and is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Those credentials allow him to handle cases in both state and federal forums across a wide geographic area.

Outside the courtroom he has maintained memberships in several professional organizations. He is a member of the Texas Bar College and has belonged to the Texas Young Lawyers Association since 2017. Since 2021 he has served as a director at large for the Houston chapter of Young Risk Professionals. His firm is certified as a 100% Veteran Owned Business by the Texas Veterans Commission.

Colleagues describe Aguilar as methodical in his preparation and direct in court. He has moved from large firm associate roles into firm leadership, where administrative duties and client representation intersect. He oversees litigation matters and the daily operations of Art Aguilar Law Office, PC, and manages filings in multiple federal districts and state courts. He currently represents clients in state and federal courts across Texas and the Fifth Circuit.
