Jon Kiyoshi Renge is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Renge is the principal attorney at the Law Office of Jon K. Renge, a solo practice located at 1340 Van Ness Avenue, Fresno, California. He has been practicing law for over 28 years, serving clients throughout the San Joaquin Valley.
Mr. Renge earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated in 1996. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Fresno, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature in 1990. During his time at McGeorge School of Law, he focused on criminal defense, preparing him for his future practice.
Mr. Renge concentrates his practice in the area of criminal defense. He represents individuals in matters involving violent felonies, including domestic violence, assault, and homicide cases. His practice also encompasses gang-related crimes, self-defense claims, DUI offenses, drug charges, and white-collar crimes. He handles all stages of criminal proceedings, including pre-trial motions, negotiations, trials, and appeals, providing comprehensive representation to his clients.
Throughout his career, Mr. Renge has gained extensive experience in the criminal justice system. He began his legal career at the Fresno County Public Defender’s Office, where he was a member of the Major Crimes Team. This team handled complex cases such as homicides, Three Strikes cases, and those involving high prison exposures. In 2003, he transitioned to private practice, founding the Law Office of Jon K. Renge. He is admitted to practice before all California state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.
Mr. Renge is a member of the California State Bar and is recognized as a Certified Legal Specialist in Criminal Law, certified to handle death penalty cases. He is also a member of the Fresno County Bar Association. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his family and working on the family farm, cultivating almonds, pistachios, cherries, and raisin grapes.
