About John

John Slack earned his J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2018. He completed a law school curriculum that emphasized litigation skills and trial practice. Those formative years set the stage for his entry into practice in Kentucky, where he is admitted to practice law.

After law school, Slack joined a team that handles personal injury claims. Early in his career he worked on cases that moved through pretrial and trial stages, gaining practical courtroom experience. He developed familiarity with the procedural demands of injury litigation and with the tactical choices that arise in cases involving bodily injury, vehicle collisions and premises liability.

Slack holds memberships in several professional organizations. He is a current member of the Kentucky Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. Those affiliations connect him to continuing legal education, trial advocacy resources and peer networks that inform case strategy and courtroom technique.

In practice, Slack focuses on representing individuals who have suffered injuries. He represents clients in matters that include automobile collisions, uninsured motorist claims and other negligence cases. His work encompasses client intake, evidence development, negotiation with insurers and preparation for trial when settlement is not possible. He is known among colleagues for methodical case preparation and for pressing factual issues that can matter to juries.

Slack works at Becker Law Office Injury Lawyers and is also associated with the firm’s Dixie Highway office. In those settings he collaborates with other attorneys and support staff on case investigation, depositions and trial planning. He regularly interacts with medical providers to verify injuries and with expert witnesses to clarify causation and damages.

Outside the courtroom he continues to pursue education in trial advocacy and civil procedure. He attends seminars offered through his professional associations and participates in case-study workshops. Slack’s approach to litigation is pragmatic: he weighs the likely outcome of trial against settlement offers and communicates options clearly to clients so they can make informed decisions.

He currently concentrates his practice on personal injury cases, representing plaintiffs in auto accidents, premises liability matters and related negligence claims.
