About John Nikitas

John Nikitas Zervanos earned his J.D. from Temple University in 1987. He took the conventional route from law school into practice and has built a career spanning Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Those two jurisdictions are the seats of his licensure and the arenas where he has argued cases and maintained client relationships.

Early in his career Zervanos became active in bar associations and trial groups. He holds membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar and the American Bar Association. Over time he joined county and city bars as well, including the Philadelphia, Lancaster and Lehigh County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, an affiliation that reflects steady involvement in courtroom practice.

Outside the bar associations, Zervanos has taken on organizational roles. He is the founding president of S.T.A.R. Kids, Inc., and continues to serve on its board of directors. Those roles suggest a sustained interest in governance and non-profit work alongside an active legal practice. He also belongs to the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, a group that offers networking opportunities among lawyers.

Within plaintiff-side professional circles, Zervanos participates in the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He serves on that organization’s Board of Governors and on its Medical Malpractice Section Committee. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice Leadership Forum. These memberships align him with peers who focus on litigation and trial advocacy, and indicate regular engagement with developments in medical malpractice law and related civil litigation.

Colleagues describe him as someone who balances courtroom work and organizational duties. He has spent much of his career in trial settings where procedural knowledge and readiness for trial matter as much as legal theory. His bar and association memberships show ongoing ties to both local and national legal communities.

Zervanos works from his Philadelphia office. He handles matters that arise in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and remains active in the professional groups that shape trial practice in those states. He currently concentrates his practice on trial litigation and medical malpractice matters.
