His practice has since focused on estate and trust planning and administration, real estate law—including complex water, oil, and gas matters—and various aspects of business law. For over 35 years, he has been recognized as a peer-review AV-rated attorney, evidence of his expertise and professionalism in the legal field. Beyond his legal practice, Flanders has made significant contributions to the Longmont community. He has served as Chairman of the Longmont United Hospital Foundation since 1999, playing a crucial role in supporting healthcare initiatives in the area. His involvement with the Longmont United Hospital Board of Trustees spanned from 1979 to 1988, during which he served as President from 1982 to 1988.
