About Joel J.

Joel J. Feller entered the study of law after completing a bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics at the University of Maryland, College Park in 1990. He earned his J.D. from Widener University in 1993. Those academic years established the legal foundation he would build on in two neighboring state bars.

He is licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Feller’s career spans private practice and courtroom work. He is an active member of several bar and trial organizations, including the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and local trial lawyer groups. Those memberships indicate an ongoing engagement with developments in trial practice and state-level legal issues.

Colleagues describe him as steady in court and methodical in preparation. Over time he has moved through the routine of case intake, discovery and trial preparation many times. That practical experience is complemented by participation in professional organizations such as the New Jersey Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He also holds membership in Trial Lawyers of America.

Feller’s practice has been shaped by litigation. His association choices underline a concentration on trial work and civil litigation. He spends much of his time on case development, witness preparation and courtroom advocacy. He is known to follow procedural rules closely and to emphasize evidence and testimony over broad rhetoric. Clients and peers say he is attentive to facts and timelines.

He has also stayed connected to larger legal trends through the American Bar Association and state bar associations. Those ties give him access to continuing education and rule updates. He has used that information in managing case strategy and understanding changes in civil procedure and evidence practice.

Outside the courtroom he has maintained steady involvement in professional circles. Membership in regional and national bar groups has kept him in contact with peers across jurisdictions. That network supports cross-border work between Pennsylvania and New Jersey when cases require coordination across state lines.

Today he continues to practice law across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, handling litigation matters and representing clients in trial and pretrial proceedings. His current practice focuses on litigation and courtroom representation in those two states.
