About Joe
Joe Lopez earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He completed the program that trains many Texas lawyers, taking part in the coursework and practical skills instruction that law school emphasizes. He moved from the academic setting into practice ready to apply what he learned in courtrooms and client meetings.
After law school, Lopez began his legal career in Texas. Over time he took on roles that culminated in firm leadership. He founded Joe Lopez Law and built the office around the legal work he saw most often in the state. Establishing his own firm allowed him to shape procedures, hiring and client intake to match the needs he had observed earlier in his career.
As founding partner, Lopez handles the administrative and strategic responsibilities that come with running a small firm. He manages case flow and client communications. He also oversees the firm’s legal work and mentors junior attorneys and staff. Those duties sit alongside the day-to-day legal tasks lawyers undertake: case analysis, document drafting and client advice.
Lopez practices in Texas and is licensed in that jurisdiction. His practice is organized through his firm, Joe Lopez Law, which maintains an office to serve local clients. Over the years he has handled a variety of matters brought before Texas courts and administrative bodies. He approaches each matter by reviewing the facts carefully and aligning the work of his office to the particular demands of the case.
