About Joe
Joe Frick earned a Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2013 after earlier studies in business and aviation. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southwestern College, awarded in 2008, and an Associate in Applied Science in Aviation Management Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, also completed in 2008. While at Washburn he completed a Natural Resources Certificate and an Advocacy Certificate, each awarded with distinction.
His career combines military service and early legal training. He served in the United States Air Force as a Senior Airman beginning in 2006 and later held the rank of Staff Sergeant as an Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Journeyman in the Kansas Air National Guard starting in 2010. He moved into legal work through clerkships and entry-level positions, serving as a law clerk at Fitzpatrick & Bass in 2011 and at the Kansas Court of Appeals in 2012.
After law school he joined Crowley Fleck, PLLP in 2013. He spent time at Tolliver Law Office, P.C. in 2015 before opening his own practice. In 2016 he founded Joe Frick Law, PLLC and has operated the firm since then. The timeline shows a steady progression from clerking and staff positions to private practice and firm leadership.
Frick is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions. His registrations include Idaho and the U.S. District Court of Idaho, as well as Kansas, Montana and North Dakota. He maintains memberships in several professional organizations, including the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association, the Montana Trial Lawyers Association, the Wyoming State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Yellowstone Area Bar Association.
Those memberships and his academic certificates shape the kinds of matters he handles. His legal background includes courtroom experience and preparation in advocacy. The natural resources certificate signals formal study in that area. His early technical and military training also informs work that touches on regulatory and operational questions.
He continues to lead Joe Frick Law, PLLC, where he applies his trial experience and natural-resources training to client matters. His current practice focuses on litigation and issues arising from natural-resources and regulatory contexts.
