About Paul J.
Paul J. Stark earned his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1996 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in history at Boise State University in 1993. Those years framed an early interest in how law and policy intersect with the land and the businesses that rely on it. He went on to build a career in Idaho law that touches litigation, regulatory work and business counseling.
His legal career began in private practice. In 1998 he worked at Moffatt, Thomas, Barrett, Rock & Fields, Chtd., where he served as a law clerk and lawyer. The following year he took a position as law clerk to the Honorable Karen L. Lansing at the Idaho State Court of Appeals. That clerkship exposed him to appellate procedure and sharpened his written advocacy.
In 2001 Stark joined the Office of the Idaho Attorney General in the Natural Resource Division of the Department of Agriculture. He handled regulatory matters and agency practice, which added a public-law dimension to his background. After leaving the Attorney General’s office he returned to private litigation. By 2003 he was a litigation attorney at Anderson, Julian & Hull, where he worked on contested matters in state courts and addressed complex factual and procedural issues for business clients.
In 2005 Stark founded Idaho Business Law Group, PLLC and has served as its owner since then. The firm reflects the strands of his career: dispute work, regulatory matters, and business counseling. His practice mixes courtroom experience with transactional guidance. He has represented clients on contract disputes, corporate governance questions, and administrative proceedings tied to natural resources and agriculture.
He is admitted to practice law in Idaho and brings more than two decades of practice in the state to his current role. His written work and courtroom experience inform how the firm approaches negotiations and litigation strategy. His practice centers on business law, commercial litigation, and natural resource regulation.
